WEDDING FAQs

We hope you find this page helpful, but of course do get in touch with any other questions you may have.

You say we'll have the freedom to create the wedding we want, what does that mean?

We want you to create the wedding of your dreams, and you can choose the suppliers you want to use (apart from a couple of exceptions).

The field is part of a working farm and so we also have to ensure the safety of the environment, animals and wildlife as well as you and your guests. Therefore, there are some stipulations such as no Chinese lanterns, for example, which are outlined in our Terms and Conditions which you can request.

How many guests can we have?

The field is 8 acres so it is relatively large. You can have as few guests as you desire and a maximum of 500.

What sort of marquee or tent can we have?

We work exclusively with Silverback Stretch Tents

Can we get legally married at your venue?

Currently in the UK only certain outdoor venues are licensed for outdoor ceremonies. This may well change in 2024, but there is no guarantee. Currently you cannot legally get married at our venue. What we suggest is that you do the legal part  separately  (a very straightforward process of booking a date with your local register office to answer a few contractual questions and sign on the dotted line, along with two witnesses. You are then legallly married). You can then look forward to a special and personal ceremony with us. The beauty of doing things this way is that your ceremony can be 100% tailored to you as a couple as you can hire a celebrant to perform your unique ceremony. We have recommended celebrants here, but you can choose to go with whoever you feel most comfortable with.

Alternatively, you could have your ceremony at a church or other licensed venue and then hold your reception at our field.

Do we have to use your preferred suppliers?

No, all of our recommended suppliers are simply a suggestion to help you.

The only exception is that you must book your event structure with our sister business Silverback Stretch Tents.

How long do we have the field for?

All of our wedding bookings are for 3 day exclusive use of the field. This is to allow enough time for set up the day before and take down and clear up the day after.

Are there toilets on site?

Not currently. You will need to book toilets at your expense. We can help book the toilets for you.

What about electricity?

As we are a complete blank canvas venue there is no electricity at the field, therefore you will need to book a generator, at your expense. These can be expensive so you need to budget  Again, we can help with booking this.

Are there any restrictions about parking or transport?

There is free onsite parking at the field. Your guests may leave their cars overnight, however it will be at the owner’s risk. East Chase Farm and Silverback Stretch Tents will not be held responsible or liable for any accident, loss or damage whatsoever.

For your safety cars to be parked in the parking area only. This will be clearly signposted.

Will there be someone on site to offer help and support on our wedding day?

Yes, one of our team will be on-call throughout your wedding.

Can you help us with suppliers?

Yes, absolutely. You can look at our recommended suppliers list and organise everything yourselves, or you can choose one of our bespoke packages where we organise and coordinate everything for you.

If you decide to organise food vendors yourselves then please note they must be licensed food vendors and all relevant documents would need to be passed onto us for health and safety reasons at least 28 days prior to your wedding day.

What happens if it rains?

With an outdoor wedding we would definitely suggest that you plan with rain in mind, therefore, if it doesn't rain then it's an added bonus and if it does then you're covered! You will need to book a stretch tent through Silverback Stretch Tents which will provide cover for all your guests with plenty of room for a dance floor, band and bar area so that all your guests are happy. The cover also creates shade from the sun, so it works either way. We can talk you through the recommended size requirements for your preferred structure and number of guests when you visit the field.

Is camping overnight allowed?

Yes, guests can camp overnight and we have stunning glamping bell tents you can book.

Can we have a fire?

You can have a fire in fire pits.

What about candles?

Unfortunately for safety reasons no candles are permitted, but you can have LED candles.

For a full breakdown of any restrictions, please request our Ts and Cs.

What time does the music have to stop?

Any live music must stop at 10pm and all amplified music must stop by 10.30pm. Thee site needs to be completely vacated by 11pm (apart from any guests camping overnight).

Who is in charge of clearing up?

Unless you have specifically booked a clear up service through us including waste disposal then the answer is YOU! The field needs to be completely clear by 3pm the day after your wedding. You must leave the field as you found it in order to have your damages deposit returned to you.

What is the booking process?

To confirm your booking a 50% deposit must be paid. This is non-refundable in the event of cancellation. The final 50% and a £200 damages deposit must be paid 2 months prior to your wedding. Your damages deposit will be returned to you within 7 days of your wedding, subject to any damages or costs being incurred.

How do we find you?

We are based in Kenilworth, Warwickshire. Simply turn down Chase Lane and keep going until you see the sign for 'Wildflower Events Field' on your left which you'll see shortly after passing East Chase Farm.

We're interested and want to find out more...what's our next step?
